Say goodbye to boring squares and hello to these fun S’mores Rice Krispies Treats Pinwheels! Layers of marshmallow, chocolate, and graham cracker rice krispies treats are rolled up into the perfect bite-size package! Irresistible!
PIN IT NOW!!
I hope you guys aren’t tired of s’mores yet because I’ve got one more recipe that’s going to blow you away – S’mores Rice Krispies Treats Pinwheels! Not only are these treats easy on the eyes (totally impressive!), they are crazy easy to make!
Say good-bye to square rice krispies treats and hello to these fun pinwheels! I couldn’t resist making a rice krispies treat for s’mores week. BUT, I wanted to do something fun, something unexpected, and these pinwheels are just that.
Pinwheels are always appreciated and they are just as easy to make as traditional treats. There’s a couple extra steps but really, SO worth it!
I started by buttering a waxed-paper lined jelly roll pan. You really want to butter it well so that the waxed paper is easy to peel away when you’re rolling up the treats.
Next butter and marshmallows are microwaved until melted and then the cereal and graham cracker crumbs are stirred in.
Now here comes the fun part. I know we’ve already got the marshmallow component of these s’mores treats covered, but I really wanted that marshmallow flavor to pop. Soooo, I shmeared on a jar of marshmallow creme. See, that’s just how I roll.
Next comes a layer of Hershey’s bars that are gently melted and then spread over the top of the marshmallow creme layer.
Whoops. You’ve got a little bit of drool dripping onto your keyboard…I don’t judge.
So finally, we roll it all up (cinnamon roll style) and throw it in the fridge to set.
Slice and serve!
How fabulous are these? Trust me, if you want to make friends fast with a kid (or adult!), just show up with a plate of these pinwheels and you are IN – promise!

Very excited to try this. We made these as a snack during our tailgating for a Jimmy Buffet concert. However, we not only put the “6” chocolate bars on it, but we also added some Nutella to the chocolate to add a hazelnut flavor to the pinwheels!! YUMMY!!

These were a big hit at my work party, for adults and kids alike! I did melt the chocolate and marshmallow fluff before spreading it on instead of putting it in the oven. Turned out great!! Thanks for the recipe.

They never did harden enough for me to roll up… the rise krispies got soggy…
The marshmallow creme needs to be warmed, so it spreads.

If you don’t have help, this things are a SERIOUS pain in the patootie to make. But they are worth it! I’m part of a group that feeds our local minor-league hockey team after every home game. I made this once; now with every other meal the guys are like, “Hey, can Miss Stevie make those S’More things again?” They LOVE them. I send a batch or two on the road and apparently they’re getting used as collateral for the poker games!

Lol! The first time can be a bit overwhelming I know. I’m planning on making a video to help guide newbies through the process. I’m so glad they’re such a hit with the guys!

How do I store these after the initial 45 minutes in the fridge? Like after I serve some do I put them back in the fridge or just leave them out in room temperature? Thanks!
Trish - Mom On Timeout says
Keep them in the fridge or the marshmallow will start to pool. Have a great weekend Rebekah!

Would a pan 14 x 10 be ok?. That’s all I have here.
Trish - Mom On Timeout says
Sure! That will work Doreen!

I made these using Nutella. SOOOO easy and tasty! Mine weren’t exactly nice circles. More oval shaped because they were too soft when I cut them, but they’ll make GREAT footballs for tailgating 🙂
Briana says
Sank out of its rolled shape while setting and was a little too sickly sweet for me. Not worth the time and effort.

Vous n’ aurez exactement aucun problème en installant un programmerie espion, car cela prend seulement
deux ou trois minutes (un conseil, testez la mise en ville sur votre coquille avant, comme cela vous saurez
certes comment jouant).

I chose to make this for our family Christmas dinner. Mine didn’t turn out so well. Seemed like too much butter as it never set up to be able to be rolled up. OH well. I just left it flat and we cut into squares. I will try again sometime to see if I can get it right eventually. Maybe with that strawberry one I saw at the end. Thanks for the great idea!! Tasted fabulous!!
Trish - Mom On Timeout says
The base is just the standard Rice Krispies Treats recipe Fawn – I’m not sure what happened there 🙂 Glad you enjoyed it anyways though!
Elaine says
What about eliminating the rolling & just making a second pan of rice krispies treats to place on top of fluff & chocolate & then cut into squares?

Love this idea! I’ll be trying this the next time I have an excuse to make treats! A couple thoughts to go that extra mile, what about toasting the marshmallow cream? Creme brûlée style before adding the chocolate? My other thought is substituting the rice crispies for golden grahams. They have more of that graham cracker taste that I think would go swimmingly with this recipe! I’ll let you know how it goes when I try it!

These were great, not to mention super quick and easy to make! What a quick treat if you have guests on the way and little time to prep. Mine was not nearly as clean and neat as yours, as far as the layers of chocolate and marshmallow being so cleanly separated, but that’s likely because I used Trader Joe’s chocolate bars, so I had to cut them then smear them a lot more since they’re thick. I’m just not a Hershey’s bar person. I bet this would be great with Cadbury bars too! Thanks for a winning recipe! Oh, I added a pinch of salt to the marshmallow, and it added just the right touch to balance all of the sweetness.

I pinned this recipe a few days ago and just made it today – had no problem rolling them (used Pam-coated parchment paper) but the family all voted to use less fluff next time. It was a bit too sweet for them (if you can believe that!) Also, I think I’ll increase the amount of graham cracker crumbs – could barely taste them with only 3/4 cup. Oh, and I only needed to use 4 of the candy bars…which leaves 2 for me to sneak a “pip” every now and then. Love this recipe – thank you so much for sharing!!

Mine will not peel away from the waxed paper…I followed the recipe exactly. Now I’m refrigerating to see if that helps. ..what a waste!
