Trish’s Tips and Tricks
- This recipe is super versatile! Have fun by adding in different candies and nuts for a fun new flavor. Make sure the mixture has cooled adequately so it doesn’t melt any chocolate candies.
- This Halloween popcorn ball recipe is awesome to make with the kids but here are some things you’ll want to take into consideration: 1) make sure the mixture is cool enough to handle and make sure to butter their hands liberally with butter otherwise you’ll have a sticky mess on your hands. 2) Protect your table or work surface with wax or parchment paper or have them work over large baking sheets for less cleanup.
- If using pretzels in your Halloween popcorn ball recipe, enjoy them within a day or two or the pretzels will start to soften. Wrapping the popcorn balls in cellophane will help keep them fresh.
- Popcorn Balls with Candy Corn are super fun to make! I love adding candy corn to Halloween treats because they add an instant pop of color, flavor and nostalgia. Candy corn would be a great addition to this recipe.
