With school starting this next Wednesday I’m in rare form trying to get the house in order, uniforms washed, backpacks packed, etc. I’ve been working on a list of quick breakfast and dinner recipes that I can turn to on those days  when I’m like “Whaaat? You needed to have what ready for today?” Yeah. Those days are coming again…and soon.
My kids are fans of peanut butter and jelly. They’re mostly fans of just peanut butter 🙂  I like my kids. They fit in well here. We like peanut butter in everything – bars, bread, fudge, cookies, and especially for breakfast.
This Peanut Butter and Jelly Oat Smoothie is quickly going to become your new favorite. Its got the classic flavors of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich but is fortified with oats and Greek yogurt for long-lasting energy. Just what you and your kids are going to need in the days ahead. Or, is that just me?
It’s perfect for a satisfying breakfast and makes a tasty afternoon snack. You know, one that will keep your kids from whining about being hungry for the rest of the afternoon.
Peanut butter is a smart choice for breakfast. One serving contains eight grams of protein, 30 essential nutrients and phytonutrients, and is high in fiber. Perfect for breakfast or the afternoon!
This smoothie recipe is easily customizable to your favorite flavors. I used strawberry jelly and frozen strawberries for this recipe but any combination of flavors will work so use your favorites!
Peanut butter and jelly isn’t just for lunch anymore!
